MY PHILOSOPHY
As I have developed my communications and content creation career, I have formed a philosophy for my work. The most important thing to me is to tell a story through every piece of content I create or post. Having a writing background, I can connect visuals with a copy in a way that conveys the focus of the social post.
Prioritizing storytelling through content creation allows me to place meaning behind what I produce. Doing so enhances social media posts, as the consumer can get a better feel for the meaning behind what is being shared.
I come from a family of Clemson graduates, so sports have always been a priority and passion of mine. After arriving at Clemson during my freshman year, I developed my photo skills while working for Clemson Athletic Communications. During my time working with the department, I have also been able to provide written content to various teams.
Over the past year, I decided that was not enough for me and decided to step into the social media world. Since starting social media for the Clemson Men’s Basketball and Baseball teams, I have found that my true passion is producing, creating, and posting social content.
In the Summer of 2023, I accepted a position as a Social Media Editorial Intern for Major League Baseball, working under Doug Gausepohl. My time with MLB was so valuable as I developed my knowledge of the social media space. Over the course of my internship, I acquired new skills in social media listening through Sprinklr, which I was able to further advance during my fall semester of senior year.
When I am not working, you can find me at the gym, on the lake, or spending time with my friends and family!
